The Primordial Record
Chapter 1594: Return To Madness

The battle among Primordial entities could not be measured using normal time as a reference. Time and space were easily shattered and broken, leaving countless shards of chaos and corruption roaming about this space.

This meant that the flow of time could not be depended upon because it could stay still for an eternity or accelerate for trillions of years in a single burst. Everything was under the control of these entities, and all manner of changes were useless.

The elements of time and space were woven into their attacks, and so in Reality, outside this space made by Bahamut, the stable time that passed—maintained by the body of Primordial Time that had been shattered in a distant era—had barely been three days, but inside the space of battle, ten million years had gone by.

In the period where Rowan had been observing them, Bahamut and Chaos had fought for this length of time, and only now were they beginning to go all out.

The weight of their existence was pulling upon time and space, warping them into a state of accelerated flow. This was in ninth-dimensional space. Rowan believed that if this battle had been fought in the outside Reality, the effect of the time warp would be much worse.

If Reality could survive the confrontation between these two, he believed more than fifty billion years would pass as time was warped by their presence.

Even if their battle brought about casualties, such an intense flow of time would kill many lower immortals, end all mortal life, and devastate the state of Reality for many more years to come, and this would be considered the least of the side effects from this battle.

This space made by Bahamut was located at the core of the Supreme World of Magus. The entire realm was mass evacuated following the instructions Andar left behind with the Limit Breakers, and for the three days that passed, the realm was mostly silent.

With magic and other immortal arts that had become heavily influenced by the increasing level of Primordial Aether inside of Reality, nearly all lifeforms on the Magus realm had been evacuated, leaving those who were fanatically loyal to the Supreme Magus Endirius and expected that his fury would soon descend on those who fled the realm.

Their numbers may be relatively small, barely surpassing three hundred million. Still, these Mages were among the ruling class and accepted that there was no way these changes happening across them would influence their position.

They were waiting for news of Andar’s capture and the quick eradication of whatever subversive elements in their realm. Despite the news that Andar had killed the Flame Guards before descending into the realm, reaching their ears, none of them believed that any significant transitions could truly be made.

The Endirius bloodline, which had taken most of the ruling positions in the realm, never left. They were already hatching plans for the punishment and suppression of those who fled the realm, and the punishments they were devising were gut-wrenching.

To show their loyalty to the Supreme Mage, who had not yet given out the orders, most of them refused to absorb the Primordial Essence floating around until they had been ordered. However, behind closed doors, they rapidly absorbed these powers and made secret breakthroughs.

On the first day, they gathered and began making plans and sending orders to all those who had fled the realm to return.

They gave out harsh summoning to all mages through the Aethernet, reminding them of the power of the Supreme Magus and the height of his fury.

It did not matter what sort of changes were sweeping across Reality or that the unknown powers of Andar and whoever was behind him were great; the Supreme Magus would win, and all would be restored to being as it once was.

Their rants filled the Aethernet, but strangely, after a single day, everything went silent; even the Aethernet had gone down, but their instructions had been heard by all mages, and they began to return.

Although Andar had given strict instructions to the Limit Breakers—who had significant influence in the Magus society due to most of them being geniuses and connected to most of the major Magus families—that they should never return once he began entering the core of the realm, and only wait until the dust settles and he sent word, they were not able to stop many of the Mages who could not reject the orders from the ruling Endirius family.

After many minor eras of unbroken rule from the ruling Endirius families, it was almost impossible for any of the Mages to disobey their orders. The Limit Breakers could only delay their return for a short while, but on the third day, most of the mages who had fled began to return.

However, the purpose of their return had changed under the subtle manipulation of the Limit Breakers alongside the mindset of change sweeping through Reality.

Most of the Mages were not returning because of the orders from the Endirius family, but to assist the Endless Mage, Andar Erikson.

In three days, unprecedented changes swept through the Magus society. It was unknown if their cultivation technique was particularly receptive to Primordial Aether or any other unknown factor, but their level of life had dramatically increased.

Transformations that were supposed to take the rest of their lives were happening in hours, and if the rate of growth did not slow down, then their upper limits were unknown.

They could resist the orders and not return, knowing that in time, they would all be so powerful that it would be impossible to suppress them under the house of Endirius anymore, but there was one person they could not leave behind: Andar Erikson.

His words still resonated in their hearts and souls, and so they returned to the realm, not because they had been ordered to by the house of Endirius, but because they wanted to fight for Andar Erikson.

If the Supreme Mage wanted to take his life, he would have to kill them all. An air of fervor had gripped the masses, and they came to fight for their future.

Aeynid Erikson, the mother of Andar, was among the returnees. From a distance, the Magus realm appeared to be at peace. There was no sound of battle emerging from the realm, but this did not bring her any peace, but anxiety. Only the capture or death of Andar would lead to such a sight.

As they approached the realm, a wave of silence began sweeping across the hundreds of billions of mages; they were not even aware that they had gone silent as a silent pressure filled their chests, and yet there were no words to describe their feelings.

Of those returning, ninety percent chose to slow down. Something held them back, but they struggled to push through the hesitation in their hearts.

A few light years away from the realm, observation spells could now peer through the constant obscuring field that was always shielding the realm from outside gaze, and they saw the actual state of the Magus Realm and the root of this unknown fear in their hearts.
