The Primordial Record
Chapter 1593: I Stand… Unbroken (3)

Primordial Chaos could not draw out all the powers he was capable of, but it would seem that he did not need to when he matched Bahamut in the Primordial Beast’s domain, even with this crutch.

No wonder it was the Primordials that ruled all of existence; they were all incredibly talented, and until Rowan reached the ninth-dimensional level, he believed that in many ways, he might never match a Primordial.

Of everything he could see and learn from this battle, it always seemed like there was something new to discover, and more transformations were happening below the surface that his senses could not touch.

Reality was shattering around these two combatants as Bahamut attacked with unequaled fury, using claws, teeth, and tails. However, all his blows that could render creation to nothing were effortlessly thrown back by both lances of Primordial Chaos.

Now and then, Primordial Chaos would counterattack, piercing one of Bahamut’s bodies, and powerful shockwaves would blast out of the wounds with great force, shattering Reality and causing tremendous shockwaves.

Bahamut roared in anger and frustration as he took the battle to the next level. All ten of his bodies took a step back, and they all hurled a bolt of the purest lightning Rowan had ever seen, and it was black.

This bolt could tear through a Primordial Domain, and it traveled faster than even Primordial Chaos could block, and they slammed into his being, and he shattered into pieces.

For a moment, Rowan thought that Primordial Chaos had fallen. The might of that lightning bolt was so mighty that Bahamut should have been secretly gathering all that power since the beginning of the battle and had suddenly unleashed it without any indicator.

However, Primordial Chaos could not be so easily destroyed; the terrible energy of that bolt was twisted and distorted, spiraling into a vortex of nonexistence before dissipating into nothingness.

Primordial Chaos laughed, a sound like shattering glass and dying screams,

“Lightning? Orderly. Predictable. Bound by rules. Chaos knows no rule! And you wonder why you all lost to our might. Bahamut, stop this mindless struggle and lie still, and I promise you that your death would not be as painful as I can make it.”

Bahamut screamed in fury at the prodding from Primordial Chaos when it became clear that he had long detected this hidden gathering of power and was also prepared for these bolts. Reminded once more about the treachery that led to his fall,

“It was supposed to be for me; that power was mine by right, Eldrithor, you thief. You stole my destiny!”

The laughter of Primordial Chaos seemed to have grown stronger from absorbing the power from the lightning bolts, and he no longer took his previous form but dissolved into a storm of fractal shadows and surged towards all bodies of Bahamut like a tidal wave of madness.

Rowan could see Primordial Chaos smelling blood in the water and was going for the kill. He should not be able to hold so much power stolen from Bahamut with his present shell, and he was going to attack without holding back.

Reality shivered as new bodies of Bahamut attempted to be born through the void, but it seemed that he had reached a limit; any more new bodies, and he would be banished from within Reality. Despite having the potential to grow stronger, his environment limited his powers.

Rowan suspected that Bahamut had only reached the point of manifesting ten bodies because he had begun reshaping Reality with Primordial Essence, and so this unknown realm of the Primordial Beast was able to bring out more power without being expelled from Reality.

Everything was spiralling towards the advantages of Primordial Chaos since Bahamut could not equal him in skill, and his only advantages had reached the limit, yet this did not deter the Primordial Beast; it only

Increased his ferocity.

“Eldrithor, I shall kill you. You took my destiny, and still it is not enough. Now you come for my crown. I have told you, it would not matter what happens to me, I shall kill you. All of you!”

The Primordial Beast did not make empty boasts; he simply unleashed everything he had towards Primordial Chaos.

All of Bahamut’s bodies raised their hands, summoning a storm of such great magnitude that Reality would transform into ash in its wake. The tempest roared, shredding the approaching darkness and madness of Primordial Chaos, but they could not be destroyed. Chaos could not be destroyed.

Rowan frowned. Primordial Chaos was going to be much more challenging to deal with than he had thought.

He needed these two to weaken each other, but it seemed that as time went on, Primordial Chaos’s innate superiority would supersede even the pure might of a Primordial Beast who was being held back by its talents that depended on a stronger Reality to exert its influence.

He could not allow this to happen. Primordial Chaos dying here was meaningless; this body here was the shell of Caine, but Bahamut meant much more to him because if he devoured a complete Primordial Beast, it would enhance his Elder’s Will and push his Origin Ouroboros to greater heights.

Bahamut was also more important as a bait, but if he dies before the full trap is set, then he would enhance the powers of Primordial Chaos while reducing his own.

“It is time,” he said to Primordial Soul.

Child, are you sure about this? We can wait for another million years before we make this move. That would be the perfect time.”

“Yes, it would be the perfect timing, not only for me, but for everyone else. No, this opportunity is not the best, and that’s why it is important, because it is the best place for me to work.”

“I will take your word for it. Do not fall here, Rowan. If you do, your body is mine to take; that is your promise to me.”

“As long as you honor the deal to our agreement, then my body is yours.”

“Good, if the dust settles and you are alive, Primordial Chaos shall be the enemy they all see. I assure you of this.”

“I don’t need assurance, just results.”
