Chapter 2634: Four Demonic Generals Izanagi II

Izanagi’s eyes are blinded by the darkness element as his face could be seen having dark foreign matter attached to it. He did not expect that something like this could happen as his magic is mainly of the light element. It is incredibly embarrassing that a god that controls the light element is hindered by a blindfold made of the dark element. The fact that he could not purify the darkness naturally has made him incredibly embarrassed.

“Why can’t I take this off!” Izanagi thought to himself as he actually used quite the effort and hit himself with the Flash spell of the light element to destroy the darkness blindfold. He did not want to shout it out loud or else the pitiful state that he was in would be seen by others.

Izanagi managed to destroy the darkness that was blinding him but what greeted him was still pure darkness. In the darkness was only him standing all alone and he is also the only shining. The light being emitted by his body is the only source of darkness in the entire area.

“What is this?! Where is everyone?!” Izanagi stated as this absurdity is not something he expected.

“You are in my domain. Welcome to the World of Darkness.” Ark stated as his face could be seen creating a silhouette as he is now one with the darkness.

Ark managed to unlock a domain that perfectly encapsulates his entire being. He has a domain called Dusk or Dawn. Unlike his guild leader, Ark’s domain skill changes depending on what half of his bloodline he will use. He can either choose Dusk which is the World of Darkness or Dawn which is the World of Light. His domain is not like his guild master as he only has one skill and only shares one cooldown. Adrian is a unique existence that has two domains that have different cooldowns as well.

“Do you think that your puny domain could defeat me?! I am a god that has ruled over light! I am the Father of a Sun Goddess! Watch me break this darkness with my spear, the Morning Sun! Dusk Breaker!” Izanagi stated as if his parenthood would make him more powerful against Ark.

Izanagi charged his entire spear with light energy and shot the collected light energy towards the darkness. Ark smiled as his silhouette vanished into the darkness as if he already expected that his enemy would do something like that. Izanagi believed that his attack would be able to dispel the domain of the Nephilim but all he did was create a bright firework.

“Urk!” Izanagi exclaimed in shock as he suddenly found himself pierced by a blade made of pure darkness.

“I missed. I was aiming for the heart, but it seems that your body moved by instinct.” Ark’s voice could suddenly be heard behind Izanagi.

Ark’s blade is not like the early one that he used as this one was made of pure darkness. The blade exuded the darkness orb that is a part of his weapon earlier. It was also the thing that created the domain instantly when Izanagi’s palm met with it. Izanagi felt the pain surge on his body and immediately swung his spear behind him.

Izanagi did not hit anything at all, and the sword of darkness vanished from his stomach as well. It was like what pierced his body was an illusion, but it was all real because the wound on his stomach is present. Izanagi suddenly remembered a fact about the race of the warrior he is facing now. It was one of the interesting topics that he heard about when the Celestials were still active in the world.

“Did you know that the Celestials are hunting those that have half their blood in them? Apparently, they call them as Nephilim.” Izanami stated.

“Would they be half as strong then? Those Celestials seemed to have deluded themselves that nature will not create an offspring that is only half their blood.” Izanagi stated.

“Strong? I do not know because all I heard is that they are only half mortal. I did hear a rumor that a if a Celestial and an Infernal were to have a child then a being of great power with control of both will appear.” Izanami stated.

“That would be impossible. We already encountered them before, and their karmic energies are reversed. The chance of having a child between the two is impossible and the only way that could happen is a miracle.” Izanagi stated.

“If they were to have a child, how strong would they be?” Izanami asked.

“If that were to happen then the polarizing karmic energy would exponentially increase the power of the two elements that will be inside of that child. The child would have immense power over the light and dark elements.” Izanagi stated.

Izanagi suddenly had a realization that he did not even consider before. The being before him had the aura of a Celestial which was familiar with him. He did not think much of it as his enemy told him that he was a Nephilim. What Izanagi did not consider is the fact that half of his Nephilim enemy might be of Infernal or Devil blood. He was now in combat with a Nephilim that had the blood of an angel and a devil.

“The perfect being of light and darkness!” Izanagi stated as he intensely focused now that he knew what kind of danger he is in.

Izanagi’s stance changed to a more combat ready one while he increased his senses to the maximum. Inside the space made of pure darkness where only he could see the light, Izanagi is the only one capable of helping himself. He was cut off from the outside world which meant that this might be a pocket dimension domain.

Izanagi focused as he swung his spear with pure instinct because that is what he could only rely on for now. This is the optimal choice for a warrior that has seen dozens of battlefields, and it was also the choice that saved his life. With Izanagi’s swing, a repulsion could be felt from the tip of his spear because he managed to hit the location where Ark was hiding.

A surprised silhouette of Ark suddenly materialized for a moment before vanishing from the area. Izanagi then proceeded to swing his spear in a full circle as he released an energy wave filled with the light element. Izanagi expected that he would at least hit the flustered Ark, but nothing came in contact with his energy wave. Having no reaction from the enemy, Ark immediately deduced what the rules the domain has.

“You are fused with the darkness. You only materialize when you attack but it seems that you cannot use any other spells or else you would have bombarded me with them.” Izanagi stated as he was correct in all marks.

Ark’s domain has a weakness as he cannot use other skills while inside it with his target. He can become intangible by fusing with the element around him, but he will be tangible if he comes close to his enemy. The upside is the fact that all of his attacks would induce a critical strike which is why Izanagi was heavily damaged earlier and he managed to pierce the enemy’s stomach.

“Tch! He already found out but that will not hinder me from victory.” Ark thought as he decided to attack in a much faster rate while diving in and out of the darkness.

This might make him an easier target, but he would land more critical hits compared to before. Ark had no choice as he does not waste time on his opponents. He attacked quickly but Izanagi has incredibly battle instincts that the latter was able to deflect 90% of the attacks that Ark used. The only good thing from the exchange is the fact that he hit the enemy as well and the being before him is now injured all over.

“I can win. I just need to focus and manage my stamina and mana well.” Ark thought as he started to plan his next attacks but the air around Izanagi shifted.

“I agree that I have underestimated you, but I will no longer do so. I once told my wife that beings like you that have the blood of the Celestial and the Infernal would be gifted and I was not wrong. You are worthy of serving under me. Tell me Nephilim, do you want to join my side and rule this world?” Izanagi stated as he suddenly asked Ark to join forces with him.

“I have heard of the atrocities that your organization has done. It is better for all of you to die.” Ark stated.

“A pity. I thought you would at least be smart and join me in my cause. The offer has already expired which means that I will have to kill you now with my full power.” Izanagi stated as the chains surrounding his spear suddenly got destroyed and his aura increased tenfold.
