THE LAST PARAGON IN THE APOCALYPSE -
Chapter 984: Farewell
It took Jane an entire day to recover her energy and perform two more space teleportations. However, before then, the spaceship had already engaged the hyperdrives and was several miles deep into space.
Aside from that, the Void drives now kick in every 30 minutes, so they were several million miles away from Earth within the span of a day.
Six days later, after moving millions of miles away from Earth’s solar system, they came to a stop in front of a brown planet.
“We are far enough not to cause any harm to Earth,” Klaus said, stepping out of the spaceship. Jane followed behind him as they flew closer to the planet.
“That is one powerful gravitational force around the planet. I wonder how strong it would be on the surface.” Klaus’s eyes gleamed, feeling the need to check it out.
“Big brother, why are we here?” Jane asked, looking at Klaus. Up until now, she didn’t know why they were millions of miles away from home.
Klaus smiled and took out the Pentaface Bead. “We came this far to bid farewell to some friends of mine.”
The bead in his hand glowed green, and five large dragons appeared, causing Jane to hide behind Klaus, planting her face on his back.
The heavens started turning dark the instant the five dragons appeared.
They each had different colors, and they looked terrifying by all standards. The monarch of Despair is a Green Dragon with two large horns sitting on his head.
The monarch of Harrows is red and has a similar horn on his head. The monarch of Anarchy is silver and looks deadly.
The monarch of Starvation is brown, and the monarch of Discord is dark. They roared the moment they appeared, announcing to the entire universe that the five remaining Monarchs of the Apocalypse and Destruction are still alive.
“You five are scaring my sister,” Klaus said calmly, looking at the five Domain-stage dragons looking at him.
Though Klaus was also feeling the pressure they were exuding, he wasn’t afraid of them, for he knew they wouldn’t attack him.
Of course, when it came to battle, he knew that he would crush him like a bug within mere seconds. He may be strong, but he is not that strong.
The first to turn into his human form was the Monarch of Despair. Soon, they all turned into their human forms, looking both handsome and terrifying at the same time.
It was weird to look that way, but as beings from the Doom Universe, they sure have the right to look both terrifying and, by dragon standards, handsome.
Klaus knew they were in disguise the last time he saw them in their human forms, and he was right. They looked much more like how he expected them to look.
“Paragon, our time has come to leave, and it is all thanks to you,” Allister, the monarch of Despair, said.
Klaus nodded. “Don’t worry about it. But where will you be going?”
“We are several light years away from the human universe, if my memories serve me right. However, we have ways to travel several times faster, so we will find an uninhabited planet and have our tribulations.
Then, after reaching the Life stage, we will try to get to the human universe and slowly make our way to the dragon universe.”
Klaus raised his brow. “Won’t you guys be going to the Doom Universe instead?”
The five monarchs looked at each other and then let a small smile appear on their faces. “There is something you should probably know,” Heath, the monarch of Starvation, said with a faint smile.
“The Doom Universe is no more. You destroyed it the last time you were there. The only surviving monarchs from that world are us five.”
Klaus raised his brow again. The last time he visited them inside the Pentaface bead, they claimed their universe was still there.
They explained that, having been away from their Universe for billions of years, they would be replaced, and one day, the Doom universe would come back for revenge.
Klaus believed them because he had yet to recover even a strand of memory from his first incarnation, who was the one who imprisoned these five.
However, now it seems things aren’t as they told him.
“You are one terrifying warrior, Paragon. Even as a Demigod, you stormed my universe with that brother of yours and decimated everything.
You only spared us because you wanted our powers. Thankfully, you didn’t kill us but only asked for our skills. However, one day, you will come to know the main reason behind your actions.
Until then, we have said enough.” The heavens were indeed not liking the interaction happening, causing the clouds to churn with power.
Espen, the monarch of Discord, walked closer and tapped Klaus on the shoulder. “You once said something that has stuck with me to this day.
You said, ’When there is no path, you create yours, and when the heavens block your path, you look them in the face and raise the middle finger.’
I can sense the aura of danger hovering over you. So all I can say is take your own advice and please don’t die.
Although your blood is shielding us from the heavens, we will be exposed the moment you die. So, for our sake, don’t die, and I promise I will teach you the Law of Discord when we meet again, like you have always wanted.”
Espen smiled weakly.
Klaus looked at the five monarchs with a deep expression that held a questioning gaze. However, before he could ask, they smiled and all five clapped their hands together and bowed.
“Till we meet again, Paragon.” Klaus only saw a flash of light vanish into the distance, and just like that, the five monarchs were gone.
“I have a brother,” Klaus finally said, unsure of how to take this discovery. In all of Fruity, his 4th incarnation, and Magnus, the 7th incarnation’s memories, he wasn’t aware he had any brother.
However, he was just made aware that he has a brother, and he was with him when they destroyed the Doom Universe.
That was just out of his expectations.
“So I even have another Big Brother, huh?” Jane, on the other hand, became happy hearing what Klaus said. Klaus turned and looked at her, then smiled.
“Looks like I have a brother… we have a brother.”
The smile on Klaus’s face was one that he felt deep within his heart. All of a sudden, all the heaviness on his heart was washed away, replaced by a need to live and one day meet this brother of his.
Thousands of miles from them, the five monarchs stood and looked into the distance, staring at Klaus.
“Mission complete. Now that he knows he has a brother, the heavens are done for,” Allister, the monarch of Despair, said.
“Indeed. It was just as he described it. Though his brother isn’t a Paragon like him, the two aren’t a combination the heavens can handle this time around,” Nevill, the monarch of Harrows, added with a knowing smile.
“I just pray they don’t destroy this universe like they did ours after they are done with it. I kind of like this universe already,” Vernon, the monarch of Anarchy, said, but before his smile could bloom, the space around them twisted.
Soon, they were billions of light years away, appearing on five empty planets. They immediately sat down and started working towards their breakthrough to the Life Stage.
