System's POV -
Chapter 1230: I Can Always Do Plan B
“You seem to be in a good mood, Kamrusepa,” Thirteen said as soon as they entered the palace.
“I am in a good mood, and it’s all thanks to you and Azrael visiting me,” Kamrusepa replied.
“The bastards from the Blackfang Dominion have been annoying me very much recently, especially the Vermillion Faction. Just because they have three Majin Princes on their side, they start to think this continent is theirs.”
Siri nodded. “The Blackfang Dominion has three Majin Princes. Relying on that, they began to throw their weight around. Let’s see if they can remain arrogant after Sir Azrael is done teaching them a lesson!”
Just like her mother, Siri was feeling very happy because the Vermillion Royal Family was pressuring her to marry their prince.
How could she agree to that when she was already in love with Mikhail, who had accepted her as his fiancee?
Seeing the arrogant Zarn brought down a peg even made her feel giddy. As she thought about it, she hugged Mikhail’s arm while walking down the hallway of the palace.
“So… what’s going to happen to Zarn?” Siri inquired.
“He’s going to get a hazing—errr, get an interview from his future colleagues.
Kamrusepa chuckled, well aware of what Thirteen and Camazotz had been doing as of late to secure high-ranking subordinates.
The Death Bat and the teenage boy had been very shameless in their recruitment process, which was equivalent to beating the crap out of their opponents before tossing them to the portal that led to the Domain of the Apocalypse.
Once there, these pitiful souls had no way of escaping since Metatron would not allow them to leave after stepping into the domain.
“Kamrusepa, I’m very curious about the Venom Heart Cabal,” Thirteen said. “Do they also have a Majin Prince or Princess among their ranks now?”
“I don’t know,” Kamrusepa replied. “Maybe they do, and if that’s the case, they’ve kept it a secret quite perfectly.”
“Do you have a good relationship with them?” Thirteen inquired.
“Calling it ’good’ is subjective.” Kamrusepa pursed her lips. “We’ve banded together to keep the Blackfang Dominion in check. But now, they seem relatively quiet. The only ones making a racket are those thugs from earlier.”
“Well, they had three Majin Princes on their side, so it’s understandable,” Thirteen nodded. “But they only have two now. I’m sure they will no longer be as overbearing when they come here later to apologize.”
“What do you plan to do with them?” Kamrusepa asked. “With Azrael’s help, you can probably force them to work for you to attack Artem. But their loyalty will be questionable at best.”
“True.” Thirteen agreed. “But I’m very good at convincing people. If talking to them doesn’t work, then I can always do Plan B.”
“And Plan B is?” Kamrusepa arched an eyebrow.
“Let Azrael convince them in my stead,” Thirteen answered as if it were the most basic thing to do.
Cranky smiled faintly, not minding doing the dirty work for Thirteen.
When they arrived at their destination, they were greeted by a lavish feast, which was carefully prepared by the best chefs working under Kamrusepa.
Unlike the other Jinns in Solterra, she had chosen to become a vassal of the Fiend, Mammon, whom Thirteen had met in the past.
Since she and Mammon liked to socialize with humans, she had learned of their culture and hired those with talent to work for her.
It was a win-win relationship, making Kamrusepa one of the most successful Majin Princesses in the world.
Truth be told, she wasn’t really afraid of the Blackfang Dominion because she carried Mammon’s Emblem.
This emblem contained Mammon’s Will, which could summon his clone to aid Kamrusepa in battle.
Although the Clone would only last for a short period of time, having a Fiend as a helper solved most problems.
Not all of Mammon’s Vassals had this emblem, for he bestowed it only on those he deemed capable.
And Kamrusepa was a very capable statesman, as well as diplomat.
She was also excellent when it came to business, making her an incredibly wealthy Majin Princess.
The group dined while musicians played in the background, creating a happy atmosphere.
While this was all happening, Bask had finally returned to Elandris City, where the King of the Elandris Kingdom ruled.
He was there to report his failed attempt to convince Kamrusepa to agree to the marriage proposal by his King, who was waiting for good news.
“Your Majesty, I have returned,” Bask knelt in front of King Valtheron, who was a Pseudo-Majin King.
The ministers and the guards in the room looked at their King’s right-hand man and waited for his report.
“Did she agree?” King Valtheron asked.
The King was a handsome man with short black hair and golden eyes, visually aged about mid-thirties.
His gaze was calm, and if others didn’t know his cold, brutal personality, they might think of him as a very friendly individual everyone could easily get along with.
“No, Your Majesty,” Bask replied. “She refused your proposal.”
The ministers and the guards looked surprised after hearing Bask’s answer. They thought their king would immediately become angry. To their surprise, King Valtheron remained calm as if he had foreseen this outcome.
During the meeting of the leaders of Antares, he was able to see Kamrusepa, as well as the leader of the Venom Heart Cabal.
Both ladies were exceptional beauties, but Kamrusepa managed to catch his interest as her mere aura showed her extraordinary nature.
Since then, he had locked onto her to become his partner. With her by his side, he believed he could rule not only Antares but the entirety of Pangea as well.
“Hah… as expected of the woman I’ve chosen.” King Valtheron smiled faintly. “But playing hard to get will not do her any good. Maybe I should’ve come with you earlier. Perhaps, she’d play a different tune when she saw me.”
“… Your Majesty, I have something else to report.” Bask didn’t hesitate to tell his King everything that happened, which made the smile on King Valtheron’s face disappear.
Everyone in the throne room held their breath as they listened to Bask’s report of what truly happened in Xantheos City, which ended up in Zarn’s bitter defeat.
