Chapter 1110: The Continent Jammer [Part 1]

When the Jinns invaded Cressmont City, the place Artemians chose to be their base of operations, Lucan and his subordinates prioritized escaping. Given the tight time, they only managed to take a couple of their most important equipment and artifacts.

That said, the majority of their research materials were left in the city, as well as some other valuable artifacts. After they were gone and the Jinns had completely taken over, the latter naturally took everything of value.

Since they were a race that didn’t focus on research and development, they only picked up the artifacts.

For them, the Artemians’ research materials were of little to no value. While there were researchers among the Jinns, they were mostly delving into the development of magic and skills.

Perhaps the only overlap between their research interests was breeding the strongest creatures from their race. But the Jinns were more focused on ensuring that the next generation would surpass the previous, unlike the Artemians who bred an entirely new creature.

As such, the technology of the Artemians was something the Jinns couldn’t understand or replicate without extensive knowledge.

On the other hand, the Wanderers had always relied in science and technology—from trivial personal use to military use—so they would have a lot to gain from the Artemians’ research materials.

This was why Thirteen asked Athena to hack their system and copy the files, saving them in her database.

Unfortunately, one thing led to another, so Thirteen didn’t have time to check the data that she collected. He had a bit more free time now, but unfortunately, he couldn’t access the supercomputer’s database as his connection to her had been lost.

In this base that was now occupied by the Jinns, a Golden Azothrall stealthily explored the underground tunnels.

This Azothrall was none other than Azoh’Ran, who had escaped alongside Lucan’s clone.

It was loyal only to Lucan, so it followed his orders without question.

“It’s a good thing that they haven’t discovered this place,” Lucan said after Azoh’Ran took him inside one of the buildings in the city.

The Artemian Commander had chosen an inconspicuous place to hide the secret weapon that he and the Head Researcher had developed, which would be effective against the Wanderers and the Artemians at the same time.

It would also affect the Jinns, but to a lesser extent.

Since Lucan was now a fugitive and couldn’t trust anyone, he decided to treat everyone as his enemies, including the Artemians who were now led by Lysander.

The secret weapon that he had brought over to Pangea had yet to be completed, so no one truly knew what it was except the Head Researcher who made it for him.

Lucan was not only a Warrior but also a scholar. He was very intelligent, earning him the trust of the King of Artemians, raising him to a position that allowed Lucan to wield control over the Artemian Army.

The King was confident that with his brawn and brains, Lucan would be able to conquer Pangea and open a portal that would allow the Artemians to cross over to the new world they plan to take over.

But before that goal came into fruition, the Artemian Commander was overcome with greed.

After seeing Zia, he thought—why should he stay as a subordinate when he could also become a King?

As long as he dominated Zia and made her his subordinate, he was confident that he would be able to raise his rank to become a High Archon, and after a few years, a Celestial.

Unfortunately, after his initial success, things went downhill really fast.

It wasn’t an exaggeration to say that both he and Prince Aurelion of the Dragonkin both suffered from their desire to possess the young lady, who was currently getting a body massage from his lovers.

Lucan was an ambitious individual, and his clone was the same.

In fact, he believed that even though he only had Azoh’Ran with him, he would still be able to turn things around.

And how would he do this?

It was really simple.

He would set up a jamming device that would prevent any technological devices from working in the Cygni Continent, including powers like telepathy, clairvoyance, and scrying.

This meant that the Wanderers’ weapons wouldn’t work the moment they entered the Cygni Continent, and they would have no choice but to rely on their own skills and abilities to fight.

This was supposed to be the ultimate weapon against them, which would take them by surprise.

But Lucan didn’t use this trump card right away because of the Jinns.

The Jinns didn’t rely on technological weapons, so this would be useless against them.

The most it could do to the Jinns was prevent communication over long distances, as well as any form of scrying abilities, which could find someone or spy in a certain location.

“We’ll see how you will all deal with this,” Lucan laughed as he finished assembling the Continent Jammer.

He then asked Azoh’Ran to take him to the central part of the continent, so the jamming device would cover everything.

Perhaps it was a coincidence, but on that same day, the Wanderers and the Artemians were about to finalize their alliance.

While they were having a conference, the communication device of the Wanderers suddenly stopped working.

It didn’t take long for the Artemians to realize that they were also unable to use their own equipment.

Prince Aurelion, who was currently watching a movie in his living room to calm himself down, frowned when the TV suddenly stopped working.

He then tapped on his communicator to ask someone to fix it, but to his surprise, the communicator also stopped working.

The Jinns may not be experts when it came to technology, but after living in the Cygni Continent, they started to enjoy things like television, the internet, and their communicators.

But they all stopped working, and the entire continent suffered a blackout.

“Now, it’s time to start,” Lucan said before ordering Azoh’Ran to take him to one of the secret underground bunkers that the Artemians could use in case of emergencies.

Once he was safe there, the Golden Azothrall would begin its hunt, devouring anything that it could kill easily.

The goal was for Azoh’Ran to become an Archon and become the dark horse that would make everyone in the continent understand how dangerous he would become
