MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith -
Chapter 1721: 1721: Strength of a Rank 5
“Why wouldn’t we?” asked Ataraxia in return as he let out a chuckle of his own.
“With how used we’ve gotten to looking at our status the moment we ascend, it’s gonna be difficult to stop doing it all of a sudden.”
“Old habits truly die hard.” Letting out another chuckle as he nodded in agreement with his other self, Valyr soon went ahead and commanded the system to bring up his status screen.
Ding!

“…Quite the nice boost.”
As he went through the changes to his status screen after ascending to Rank 5, the young man nodded in satisfaction after seeing all of his stats go up by at least a few hundred points.
Unsurprisingly, a couple of his stats were outliers to that improvement, with his INT having gone up by over 500 points in comparison to the last time he checked his stats.
‘I don’t think any of them would reach the 10,000 mark once we level up to the peak of Rank 5,’ thought Valyr to himself, going over his status screen a couple more times as the gears in his mind turned.
‘However, that doesn’t mean I won’t be very close to it… especially if I factor some other stuff into the equation.’
Whilst the young man slightly smiled as he began to daydream about his combat strength the moment he reached Level 100, his other self was left at a slight loss for words as he stared at his own status screen.

“Hiss…”
Sucking in a breath of cold air the moment he had confirmed he wasn’t hallucinating, Ataraxia went through his status screen a few times after that, only to then left out a soft exhale once he was done.
With how much he had gone through before his ascension to Rank 5, it was no surprise that all of his stats underwent massive improvement.
Compared to the last time he checked his stats, the stat that improved the smallest was STR, which only went up by around 400 points.
On the other hand, both his INT and WIS went up by almost thrice that value, with each of them going up by at least a thousand points.
Of course, it went without saying that the greatest reason for that improvement was none other than the titles given to him in the Realm of New Horizons, with all of them combined boosting all of his stats by at least 40%.
If not for that, then there would have still been a sizable gap between him and Valyr when it came to combat strength.
‘Speaking of which, I should find the time to check if a trial beyond the Greater Trial of Persistence actually exists,’ thought Ataraxia to himself, recalling how he’d shown interest towards the matter back when he obtained the trial’s respective fragments.
Though, with how much his strength had improved over the past year or so, it was only now did he recall the trial once more, having placed the idea at the back of his head for the most part.
Briefly thinking about sending a message to his guild regarding the Trial of Persistence and the fragments needed to open it, the young man decided to set the thought aside for the meantime as he looked at Valyr with slight curiosity.
Looking at his other self in return, a smile soon appeared on both of their faces as they immediately understood what they wanted to see.
Whoosh!
Without hesitation, the two of them willed their status screens to appear in front of the other party, giving both Valyr and Ataraxia the opportunity to compare their strengths against one another without fighting.
“Our combat strengths are pretty much even,” said Valyr, a slightly proud smile tugging on his lips. “Though, that only applies if we don’t use any of our buffs.”
“Once both of us go all out, there’s no doubt that you’ll end up being the stronger one,” said Ataraxia in return as he faintly nodded in agreement.
Slightly shrugging his shoulders, he continued, “…Then again, I haven’t really put in that much effort in looking for additional buffs that would help close that gap between us.”
“…Nor would it be possible to close that gap as long as those shards in your head exist.”
As his other self pointed at the Shards of Defiance currently located within the recesses of his mind, Valyr let out a slight chuckle as he briefly scratched his cheeks in response.
“Well… who knows?” he said after giving the matter a bit of thought, replacing the status screen he had up for a notification screen containing his changes during the ascension.
“Perhaps we might get something good now that we’re Rank 5.”
“…Perhaps,” said Ataraxia in response, inwardly letting out a sigh as he changed the status screen he currently had up for his own notification screen.
Though the chances of Valyr’s words being true weren’t that low, the young man knew best not to fully believe in it.
After all, there was no way the system would give him the skill he wanted just because he was thinking about it, right?
