Brand New Life Online: Rise Of The Goddess Of Harvest -
Chapter 1926: Tartarus VS The Japan Trio
—–
“Heheheh… HAHAHAHA!” Tartarus laughed maniacally as all three charged toward her.
Their immense power warped the very space around them. This was their true strength.
The Werewolf King transformed at full power, unleashing his Divinity and Golden Ki Aura. The aura was so vast it resembled a golden sea. His werewolf form shone pristine gold, standing twenty meters tall—immensely muscular, feral, yet majestic and divine. His fists moved at light speed, pulverizing Tartarus’s body.
The Vampire Queen unleashed her Ultimate Blood Magic at full power. Blood surged from everywhere and everything, bombarding Tartarus and tearing her body apart from the inside out. It was a merciless, incredibly deadly magic designed to kill with almost no time for resistance.
The Amaterasu Clan Leader summoned the vast Divinity inherited from her divine bloodline. As the great-granddaughter of Amaterasu herself, she unleashed blinding lasers of sunlight that pierced Tartarus’s entire body, burning her to cinders.
Their combined assault was so lethal that almost nothing remained of her.
“M-Mom! Noooo!!!”
Elena screamed, tears of blood streaming from her eyes as her aura surged with overwhelming spiritual energy.
And then…
RUMBLE!
The trio froze in shock as the darkness they had destroyed instantly reformed from the ground beneath them. A new Tartarus surged upward, this one made of reinforced black wood, even stronger than before. She struck back, copying their own techniques.
“Nnnggh?!”
Light-speed black wood fists smashed into the Werewolf King’s entire body.
“What?!”
Supreme Blood Magic tortured the Vampire Queen from within.
“How is this— Aaagh!”
Blinding beams of dark sunlight pierced the Amaterasu Clan Leader, covering her body in violent explosions.
“Hahahaha! I knew your powers were compatible with mine!” Tartarus declared, her body surging with endless dark wood as hundreds of massive hundred-meter fists formed in the air and descended. “So I decided to give them a spin. How about it?! PLEASE, DO TELL ME!!!”
BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM!
The trio of guardians screamed in agony. The attacks were the real thing—carrying one hundred percent of the Werewolf King’s power. Tartarus had copied his technique perfectly and was using it with an even smoother flow of energy than he ever had.
“Honestly… Not bad at all!” the Werewolf King roared. “But can you copy this, lady?!”
He leaped into the skies, his golden aura surging until it blanketed the heavens. “HEAAAAAA!”
With a mighty roar, he descended like a falling star, transforming into a gigantic golden wolf. He crashed through the dark wood, tearing it apart and striking Tartarus’s true body, shattering her into pieces.
BOOOMMM!!!
A massive explosion followed. Golden flames made of pure Ki spread everywhere, devouring what remained of Tartarus’s true body beneath the pavement. Her roots burned away into cinders.
“That ought to do it,” said the Werewolf King with a confident nod, standing over the burning wreckage.
“No, she’s not dead yet!” the Amaterasu Clan Leader warned urgently. “Beowulf, move aside!”
“What?! Kaguya, she’s gone! I don’t feel her lifeforce anymore— Guh?!”
Beowulf vomited blood as a long red knife pierced him from behind, straight through his stomach. Dark, miasmic energy spread rapidly through the wound. “W-Wha…! Who…?!”
He looked back, but it wasn’t Tartarus. Someone else had sneaked into the fight, using stealth to strike a lethal blow.
A human.
A normal-sized human with a skinny, scarred body wrapped in white bandages.
He had long, messy red hair that covered most of his face and fell past his shoulders.
His eyes burned with a hatred so intense it felt infectious—a deadly curse.
“Who the hell are you?!”
The Werewolf King roared and punched the human away, exploding him into pieces instantly. The man was so weak he didn’t even survive a single hit.
“Haaa… Cough, cough…! W-What the hell is this thing?!”
Beowulf groaned, refusing to fall to his knees. He ripped the knife from his back as black blood poured endlessly from the wound.
“God damn it…! My meridians…! My dantians too?! It’s trying to cripple my power…!”
As he gasped and vomited more blood, the Vampire Queen rushed to his side. She used her blood magic to draw out the infectious miasma and cleanse the wound.
Healing light then flowed from Kaguya, but the repair was agonizingly slow. Beowulf’s regeneration was nowhere near what it once had been.
“Who was that?!” the Vampire Queen demanded.
“I have no idea, but… that bastard really got me…” Beowulf muttered, coughing harshly. “Erika…! Where is my girl?”
“Are you trying to act tough even now?!” Kaguya snapped, her voice laced with panic as she continued healing him. “You’ve been stabbed by a potent curse! It’s still spreading through your bloodstream! What is this?! Beowulf, you need to return to the clan right now! This curse is deadly!”
“I’m fine. I’ve survived worse,” Beowulf insisted. “And… why the hell are you here, Ulric?”
The other two women fell silent as they noticed a gray werewolf standing atop the rubble behind them, a twisted smile stretched across his ugly, scarred face.
“Heheheh… How the tables have turned, big bro!” the werewolf laughed like a hyena. “Hehehehe… GYAHAHAHAHAHA!”
“Was that little shit part of your stunt?!” Beowulf roared furiously.
“He’s the bastard I summoned. He’s here,” Ulric said calmly, patting the shoulder of the man Beowulf thought he had killed. “His name’s… ah, I shouldn’t reveal that.”
The red-haired man remained silent, watching Beowulf struggle, until he finally spoke, his voice dripping with pure hatred. “So you’re siblings… How poetic. I also murdered my brother.”
“Is this your Heroic Spirit?” Kaguya asked, stunned. “Wait— you’re a Master?! In the Holy War?! Werewolves are not allowed to participate!”
“I don’t care,” Ulric replied with a wild, abandoned laugh. “I don’t give a fuck about anything anymore. With him, I can finally do it… I can win the Holy War and grant my wish! I will make you all pay for what you’ve done to us! I will avenge our slaughtered sisters and our persecuted parents! I will no longer cooperate with you bastards! And you, Beowulf… You’re the strongest of us, yet you’ve reduced yourself to nothing but a fucking bootlicker! Father… wouldn’t be proud of you anymore!”
“Ulric, times have changed. We must cooperate and work together. Werewolves will never be accepted in society if we—”
“I DON’T CARE!!!” Ulric roared. “Accepted by society?! Why the hell does that even matter?! We will crush this society and build our own! And with that wish… we’re going to make it a reality.”
“You’ve gone insane!” Beowulf growled. “You shouldn’t have eaten that Magus Heart. Since then, you’ve been nothing but a complete madman!”
“Shut up, Beowulf! I will… do it. I will kill you now…” Ulric laughed darkly. “And then I’ll eat your heart and take your power!”
