“Void, Alice, and Klaus, you three should deal with the weaker ones in that area and come help us as soon as possible. Myself and Reynolds should be able to hold them back until you guys come.” Grey shared the task within them. From what he could sense, the last formation laid out by the Gnomes was the one here, so the others did not have to worry about getting caught in any trap formation which is also made them aware of.

They could not wipe out the weaker Gnomes without the stronger ones sensing their presence, so it was best for Void, Klaus, and Alice to wipe out the Gnomes below the Sovereign Plane while himself and Reynolds dealt with the stronger ones.

He had the space element, while Reynolds’s Elemental Warrior could keep him alive against these Gnomes. There is even a chance they might not be in any danger if the strength of the Gnomes did not go above the Seventh stage of the Sovereign Plane. A Sixth stage Sovereign will not be able to take a single blow from Grey, this was something he was a hundred percent certain of. So if the Gnomes did not have anyone above the Sixth stage, then he would not have anything to worry about.

Even Reynolds would have no problems dealing with three or four Sixth stays Sovereigns. They did not need to wipe them out like Klaus’s group, rather, they just had to kill the ones they could and make sure the other ones did not escape. This was the reason Grey took Reynolds with him and not Alice. Alice is not as fast as Reynolds, and she was well aware of this.

“Alright, just hang on for a few minutes. Once we’re done wiping them out, we will come help you.” Klaus said, walking in the direction of the weaker Gnomes.

This mine was quite large, and the Gnomes were all positioned in different parts of it, all working on different things.

Grey could sense the presence of the Lady, even though she was nowhere to be seen. He could not even pinpoint her accurate location, all he knew was that she was close by.

Klaus, Alice, and Void left them, leaving the duo alone. The Bunny Leader went with Klaus’s group as it enjoyed being close to Void. Apparently, he felt safer with Void, who in turn felt safer with Grey.

Grey did not have any issues with the Bunny Leader going with them, he felt relieved he even went with them. At least with him there, if there were any unforeseen events, he would be able to help the others escape. His control of the space element is superior to Void after all.

“Let’s go. I’ll modify the formation here so that even if they want to escape, they will not be able to.” Grey said and immediately went to work.

Reynolds did not speak, watching Grey work on the array formation there.

It took Grey about five to six minutes before he stood up, before saying, “Let’s go.”

Reynolds followed behind Grey, prepared to attack at a moment’s notice. They were about to get to the entry of the part of the mine that had the stronger Gnomes when he felt the mine shake.

“Hurry!” He rushed straight into the entrance.

Since they could sense the vibrations from the battle from Klaus’s end, then the Gnomes inside this place could sense it too.

Eight Gnomes could be seen seated, discussing something when they suddenly felt the cave shake as pebbles fell from above them.

“We’re under attack?” One of them asked with a strange expression on his face.

“Impossible! There is no way anyone will enter this place without my knowledge.” One of the Gnomes who wore a long red robe did not believe they were under attack, he continued, “Maybe those guys are trying something new.”

The Gnomes nodded, this was not the first time the mine shook in this manner. It was an essence stone mine after all, and if the Gnomes found anything good in the mine, they always tend to want to take it.

“We should check on them to be safe.” The Gnome who asked if they were being attacked did not want to let the matter go in such manner. He did not feel comfortable, which was a sign that something was wrong.

The others noticed his insistence and gave in, bring out an orb, the Gnome with the long red Gnome took a glance and his eyes widened. The orb displayed explosions from attacks, and these attacks were not something the Gnomes there could unleash.

His face fell as he said, “We are under attack.”

He could not believe how it happened. It was impossible for anyone to get past his array formations.

“There must be an Arraymaster with them.” He said before standing up, trying to activate some of the hidden formations he laid out to protect this part of the mine.

“Huh?” A dumbfounded expression appeared on his face when he noticed he could not use the item with him to control his array formation any longer. The only way something like this could happen was if someone else messed with it, stripping him of the control.

“They’re here.” He warned the others with him. There was nothing he could do now, without the array formation, there was no way to stop the intruders from breaching into this part of the mine.

They all turned to look at the entrance to the place they were located, waiting for the people who had breached into their secret base.

“How did they find us?” One of the Gnomes asked in a shocked expression. They had been hiding in this mine for a few months now, and had even managed to evade the detection of top experts in the Half God Plane, so they could not understand how their cover was blown all of a sudden.

They were still discussing when four more Gnomes came from the door in place they were having their meeting. Taking a look at the Gnome in long red robe, one of the newly arrived Gnomes asked, “What’s the fuss about?”

“We have some intruders, and we are not sure where they came from.” The Gnome in red robe explained.

“They even managed to evade your formations?” One of the newly arrived Gnomes asked, shocked. They all knew the ability of the Gnome in red robe when it came to creating formations, so hearing that some intruders were able to get past without alerting him was a little strange.

“They must have a powerful Arraymaster with them. What I don’t understand is how they were able to find us. These mines might not be the best, but the excess essence here should be able to hide our auras from them.” The Gnome explained.

One of the newly arrived Gnome calmly said, “You three should stay here and focus on opening the portal faster. We will deal with the intruders.”

The Gnome took a step before freezing, that was because he could see the figures standing at the entrance.

“Just you two?” He asked with a sneer. Even though he could sense the aura of one of them being an Eighth stage Sovereign, he did not feel any fear. Other than him, there were two other Eighth stage Sovereigns here, and they could make use of Ninth stage Puppets. So there was nothing to be worried about.

Grey and Reynolds took a look around and nodded, all twelve Gnomes above the Sovereign Plane were present here. He was relieved when he noticed that other than the trio in the Eighth stage, the rest were in the Sixth stage and below. There were even two Third stage Sovereigns present.

Before Grey could reply, they felt the mine vibrate vigorously once again.

“Oh, it seems you have partners.” The Gnome did not care if there were other intruders, he did not put Grey and Reynolds in his eyes.

However, a Gnome in the Fifth stage exclaimed in shock, “It’s you! Grey Dawson!”

“Huh? You know me?” Grey did not expect to be recognized by one of the Gnomes. He knew the Gnomes wanted him dead and some of them might have seen paintings of him, however, he was used to not being recognized until it was too late.

His identity being exposed before they even started to fight felt strange to him.

“I saw you a few years ago, it’s a shame I did not do everything I could to kill you then.” The Gnome said through gritted teeth.

“Oh.” Grey did not think too much about this Gnome, he looked at the opening leading deeper into the mine before saying, “There’s a link here to your world, right?”

The Gnomes did not reply to his question, their expressions however have them away. From how they showed surprise meant that he was correct.
